Oh, dessert smoothies! What’s there not to love? They’re healthy, tasty drinks that taste just like your favorite dessert but without the guilt or other unfavorable consequences.
One of my favorite dessert smoothies to make is a Carrot Cake Smoothie. I originally found the recipe from TheGreenForks.com, but I added my own spin on it. For example, I’ve added more vegetables and protein powder. The latter is what makes my smoothie green as opposed to the carrot cake orange color from the original recipe (my protein powder happens to be green). I wouldn’t have added vegetables if it changed the wonderful taste of this smoothie, and believe me, you can barely tell they’re there. This is why dessert smoothies are so awesome! Now if you're introducing this smoothie to someone for the first time, I would advise to not use a green-colored protein powder :).

Carrot Cake Dessert Smoothie
1 Banana 2-3 Carrots 3 tbsp of raisins 1 cup of spinach 1/2-1 celery stalk
1/4 cup of rolled oats 1/2 cucumber Liquid of choice ½ tsp of cinnamon ½ tsp nutmeg ½ tsp of allspice ½ tsp vanilla extract
